Milwaukee, WI PrimeTime is excited to announce that it has launched a new SMS Results service which will allow live result distribution to spectators all over the country, delivered as text messages via their mobile phone.
The system was debuted at the 2009 Nike Cross Country Nationals Heartland Regional held in Sioux Falls, SD.SMS Subscribers were able to sign up via the pttiming.com website to track their favorite athletes.As the races progressed, subscribers received Place, Time, and Split information for each followed athlete by way of a text message sent to their cellular phone within seconds of the athlete crossing each mile mark during the race. The service was developed as a flexible application that could be used in many different sport settings.In the case of Cross Country, the system has the capability to provide team score updates in addition to the updates for individual athletes.
The project was a joint effort between PrimeTime Event & Race Management, LLC and Peak Timing, LLC.Peak Timing is a Premier Timing Partner of PrimeTime as well as a developer of custom software solutions to the Sports Timing Market.PrimeTime will offer the system as an add-on service to events that wish to take their event to the next level of result distribution.

Owner Greg Blasko has been involved with race timing, event promotion and race management since 1997. Over these past thirteen years Peak Timing Systems, LLC has successfully organized, promoted, timed and or scored over 500 active sporting events throughout the Midwest. Greg has also provided both consulting services and worked under contract for larger sporting events, such as the Lance Armstrong Tour of Hope, Life Time Fitness Triathlon, Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival, Saint Paul Inline Marathon, American Birkebeiner Ski Race, Green Bay Marathon, Minnesota State Championship Series Mountain Bike Races, 24 Hours of Nine Mile, 24 Hours of Telemark and the Wisconsin Off-Road Series. In 2006 Greg spent four months in Melbourne, Australia working for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games as a Results System Manager where he oversaw the timing, scoring and results operations for Rugby 7s, Triathlon, Race Walks and the Marathon. In the 2007 and 2008 winter seasons Greg worked with the Jeep King of the Mountain/48 Straight Ski and Snowboard Tour to develop real-time TV ready timing and scoring systems for Ski and Boarder Cross events. Most recently in 2009 Greg spent the winter working with the Red Bull Crashed Ice Events to develop real-time scoring software for the live made for TV event in Quebec, Canada.
