PrimeTime has been delivering premium track & field services to clients since 2003. We utilize the latest technology to offer real-time results through our internet-based live results and broadcast graphics platform (powered by Karmarush), infield LED display boards, and permanent in-stadium videoboard displays.

Our extensive inventory of Finishlynx photofinish cameras, with a range of advanced capabilities, ensures fast and accurate results for any track event, from youth meets to professional competitions. Serving a diverse clientele nationwide, we manage events of all sizes, including local high school meets, nationwide collegiate meets and professional events all the way up to the Olympic Trials.

One of our key strengths is our ability to provide LED display boards around the track, enabling spectators to follow field events in real-time. This data is processed using PTT's proprietary field event tablet system, which features an intuitive user interface for event officials. This system allows us to relay information to the infield displays, a commentator information system (CIS), and internet live results, so both onsite spectators and those at home can track the full series of attempts as they occur.

Through our partnership with Karmarush, we offer the fastest live results platform in the country. This platform provides instant access to meet results for fans and coaches in a responsive format, easily viewable on any device. With just a touch, you can switch from field event leaderboards to track race split times. Enhanced features like season/personal best tagging and clickable names for quick historical stat views make our live results experience unmatched.

Photofinish Timing

We use digital photofinish cameras to determine athletes finishing times and places for all races in track & field. The cameras run at 1,000 frames per second with the capability of running as high as 10,000 frames per second. This is the standard timing practice for any major event in the world these days such as the Olympics. The camera system software allows us to drive real time data to in stadium displays and internet based live results systems. Photofinish cameras are run with a battery backup power supply to allow the system to function during a temporary power outage.

Athlete Tracking

Real time athlete tracking has been used at the 2021 & 2024 US Olympic Trials as well as the 2022 & 2023 USATF Outdoor Championships. The system provides real-time feedback on the race progress and can be used to drive leaderboards and broadcast graphics with metrics never before possible. Data can be synchronized with the broadcast replay machines allowing for unique graphics overlays during race replays. The tracking system can also be paired with bluetooth biometric devices such as heart rate sensors to relay data back for use in real-time.

False Start Detection

The Swiss Timing MOSTRAC system is an accelerometer based SIS that meets the current requirements for a World Athletics Product Certificate. The system is integrated into the Swiss Timing StartTime V E-Gun system and uses the same E-Gun sound as the Olympics. An integrated microphone allows the starter to give commands through the same speakers as the E-Gun system. Reaction times and force charts are available immediately for officials review in the event of a questionable start.

Display Clocks & Lap Counters

Displays clocks can be placed in various locations to display the current running time of the race in progress, start lists, results or time of day during down time. These displays are available in a few different sizes to best fit the facility’s needs.

LED lap counters can also be provided that are three-sided allowing coaches and fans all over the facility to see the laps to go count. This can be controlled manually from a keypad or automatically when using our athlete tracking system.

Triangle Field Displays

New in 2024 are our full LED triangle field event displays. With a 4mm pixel pitch and a high refresh rate these boards look great from any distance. Their standard configuration is a 1.2m height and 2.4m width for the flat area.

Field Event Displays

We have one of the largest inventories of LED displays available in the US for track & field events. Our modular displays allow us to build and customize display sizes to fit our customer's needs. Our standard field board (pictured above) is just over 3' x 6' in size. Our standard display has 6mm resolution allowing for very clear, readable text and images.

Wind Gauges

Our wind gauges are integrated with the timing system to track wind readings according to all rulebooks. Wind gauges can have LED displays to show the wind readings instantly when available with green and red background to show if the wind is legal or illegal for record purposes.

Videoboard Signals

We have several options for videoboard display layouts. All of our options are provided via broadcast quality graphics machines that provide HD-SDI signals in either 1080i or 720p resolutions to the videoboard production.

Field Event Tablets

Our proprietary field event tablet system gives the operators an intuitive UI that makes it easy to following along with events and input results as the event progresses. These tablets are networked to the display boards and pressbox via a PTT provided wireless network so we can seamlessly drive the display boards, announcer screens and internet results with data instantly from the infield.

Electronic Distance Measurement

Electronic Distance Measurement (EDM) is a laser based distance measurement device that is accurate to ±2mm & ±2 angular seconds, which exceeds World Athletics standards. It can provide measurements for throwing events and horizontal jumping events. It ties directly into the field event scoring computer eliminating the possibility of error in transcribing the results and allow the marks to instantly be updated on displays and internet results.

Customized TV Outputs

Customized outputs to drive in venue televisions or displays can be designed to allow fans in the concourse to keep up with all the live action while they are visiting the concession stand.

We can provide any data access needed to help push data to outside vendors providing services to your event. Above you can see real time data being pushed to the LED ribbon boards.

LED display showing infractions for the race walk events can be provided.

Live Results

We've partnered with Karmarush to provide the fastest live results in the country to our clients. Information is available instantly in a responsive format that looks great on any device. With many options for record and best mark tagging as well as other athlete performance data this is the most informative results platform in the US.

Broadcast Graphics

Using the results platform powered by Karmarush we can provide a variety of integration options for your event allowing real-time information to be displayed on the broadcast. With a number of events going on simultaneously this system allows you to have what you need for the show with the press of a button.

Clerking

PTT can provide a computer-based system to allow for checking in athletes and seeding meets on the go resulting in less empty lanes. This can help speed along the meet without wasting time on half-filled heats.

Database Management

We use Hy-Tek Meet Manager to manage the meets entries and start lists, which is the industry standard. This integrates closely with our live results and display boards allowing information to be readily available.

Online Entries

For high school events PTT has teamed up with MileSplit to provide a top of the line solution for online entries. For college meets we utilize the Direct Athletics platform for easy synchronization with TFRRS.

Results Reporting

Post meet we sync up the results to any necessary results reporting systems. This would vary by event type and location. For collegiate meets all results are synchronized to TFRRS following the meet's completion.

Toe Board Review

Using a recording system that is integrated into the results tablet we can synchronize and save attempts off athlete by athlete for easy access to review during a protest. Our simple controller allows for instant review on site and frame by frame evaluation of the attempt.

Throws Review

Similar to the toe board review out throws review is integrated with the results table and uses two broadcast quality cameras to allow review of the throw from both sides of the ring.

Track Review

Using PTZ cameras in each corner of the track we can supplement the cameras already provided by the broadcast to allow more footage of the race to be evaluated during a protest. Footage can also be watched live and incidents seen by the video review referee can be instantly flagged for review when the race is complete. When paired with our athlete tracking system we can also task these cameras to automatically follow athletes in the race.
